McKinley Chalet Resort, Denali Park

McKinley Chalet Resort is the Holland America counterpart to the Princess lodge at Denali, occupying a similar position on the Nenana River at the park entrance. It is best known for its on-site dinner theatre and its proximity to the canyon strip.

Where it is

At the Denali park entrance on the George Parks Highway, on the Nenana River, within walking distance of the canyon shops and restaurants.

Who it suits

Holland America land-tour guests, and independent visitors who want to be able to walk to food and tour desks rather than drive. Like the other entrance lodges, it is outside the park proper.

When to go

Summer season only, roughly mid-May to mid-September.
