Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge, Denali Park
Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge is the biggest of the properties clustered near the Denali National Park entrance, and the one most cruise land tours route through. It sits on the Nenana River just north of the park road.
Where it is
In the so-called Glitter Gulch canyon area at the park entrance, about a mile and a half from the Denali visitor centre, on the George Parks Highway.
Who it suits
Cruise-tour guests above all, plus independent travellers who want a full-service base with restaurants and tour desks rather than a remote in-park lodge. If you want to be inside the park itself, look at the Kantishna lodges instead.
When to go
Summer season only, roughly mid-May to mid-September. The Denali Park Road is closed beyond the early miles outside those months.
