What we publish
The kinds of posts we want
First-person guide-editor accounts of specific Alaska trips. A salmon week on the Kenai. An aurora attempt that worked or did not. A road trip on the Denali Highway in late August. The specific, grounded, honest kind of writing the site is built on.
Specialist posts from Alaska residents and operators. A fishing guide’s take on the Kenai run. A Bush pilot’s take on weather holds. A chef’s take on seasonal eating in Anchorage. We like practical, not promotional.
We do not publish press-trip gloss, affiliate-heavy round-ups, AI-generated listicles, or “hidden gem” pieces. Your voice should read like a person who has actually been there.
How to pitch
The process
Send us a pitch (not a full draft) with: proposed headline, 3-sentence summary, your own travel or work history in Alaska, and 1 or 2 links to writing you have published elsewhere.
We respond within a week. If the pitch fits, we agree a length, an outline, a deadline, and the rate. We pay for published guest posts.
If you are pitching about a lodge or operator, tell us up front whether you have a business relationship with them. We will not publish sponsored content as editorial.
